It's all happening

I upload more photos of what I think will be the last few weeks and realize it has been only 4 days.
I can relate to the quote:

"The days are slow but the years fly by."

Liam doesn't sleep well. Maybe that is why I am all confused. Maybe because it is Summer and we just don't measure time in the summer! Maybe because we homeschool and therefore school just happens all year and we take natural breaks and maybe it is just because life is busy and little  and big
moments happen all the time and they get all mixed together with some forgotten and some forever remembered and we call that life.

I wake up to more sunshine and little faces and an idea of what to eat for breakfast and we are off to another day. A day that only God knows what it will hold and we get the surprise of it all! Surprises! I sure do love surprises!

Speaking of surprises .......

This happy soul that still seems so little to me is bigger than I realize.
We had Bible time outside the other morning and I was asking him questions and he was answering them all. I didn't know he knew so much, but apparently kids listen!! I asked him if he knew he was a sinner and he said yes. I asked if he wanted to ask Jesus to be his Savior. He answered no, not right now, shyly.

But then by the end of the conversation, he snuggled up close to me and quietly asked how to ask Jesus to forgive him. Surprise! I didn't see that coming as we started our day and then BAM! I'm praying with my third born and angels are partying in heaven!

I am:

feeling blessed

praising my God who is ever mindful of his children

singing hallelujah, our God reigns

trying so badly to take in every little moment with these beautiful people Christ has given me.

To the lake......

When Micheal has the day off and it's over 90 degrees we usually always find some water to jump in. He wanted to take us to the spot he went scuba diving in awhile back. Clear water. We could see to the bottom. A waterfall. No one else there. A swing. Time with my family with nothing pressing to accomplish. It all adds up to a very good day. ;)

Then there is this one.....

That's a king size quilt. Do you think he stayed on it for any amount of time?
NOPE!
Since he could move he has wiggled, crawled and rolled off the blanket and into the grass or in this case dirt and rocks. He only put it into his mouth once. Dear LORD, help him to be a fast learner!!

He loves to be outside. He gets grumpy and we go sit outside and all is well in his world again. He was so content in the dirt he didn't try and crawl to the water which was a huge blessing to Micheal and I because it meant it was relaxing for us!

Side note..... I love this man.

The kids all want to do scuba since Daddy does it. They have to be 8, so when Zade has his birthday, him and Grace will do it together. They call the program bubble makers. That makes me happy.  For me, I would rather spend money on a new lens for the camera but I think Micheal and I would have a blast together so I will probably eventually get certified. Getting under water camera gear would be an added bonus.

It's days like this that make the long days of work more bearable. I'm thankful for God's creation to recharge our batteries. And for a family that has fun together!

Isn't Idaho beautiful?

Animated little man

So I have this 7 month old baby boy that gives me some great looks! Here is one for the books! Ha! I hope he will be a good storyteller like his Father. When I was pregnant with him, his Daddy would come home from work and be his normal loud, full of joy, storytelling self and Liam would start moving around in the womb! I loved it! He does the same now when Daddy gets home. Mama is (almost) chopped liver and he eyes his Daddy and crawls to him, ready to interact.

Kids are so much fun. Yes, they are work but the reward and joy you get from them, just being them, is so worth it!
