Freeze

Sometimes I take so many pictures that I skim through them like they are a dime a dozen. I don't fully appreciate them until months go by or years, when I can see that the kids don't look the same anymore. They have grown and I will never get that time or moment back with them. That is the case with this photo. I wasn't necessarily enthralled with it 2 months ago but I was going through my photos and gasped at this one this evening. Yes, this still happens on a regular basis, August, or any of the big kids, taking a moment to talk and play with their little brother, but to have it captured forever, or until my computer dies and we lose all our photos, will be a special piece of history for me to look over in the future. Or for the kids to see and recall back the good ol' days.

So much is happening right now for our family. I have a hard time putting things to words a lot of the time but.....

We are hoping to buy a house soon. It should all work out just fine and in just 3 weeks, unless God has other plans. :) Leaning on Him.

We also are buying a business. Provision is good. Feeding kids is a blessing!
They eat so much!

We will be leaving this town and going to a near by one, but none the less, it is far enough away that we probably won't stay at our church and probably won't see our friends all that much.
So that means, a new church possibly and making new friends again.

The kids have lost their cousins to the Philippines as of yesterday, for at least 2 &  1/2 years. And just when we thought we would have no family living close, Grandpa and Grandma move back into town and save the day! The kids have been with them all day today and I don't see that changing anytime soon! They LOVE to be with them and to walk Shadow, their dog.

Lots of good things happening. Plenty to be thankful for. Always thankful.
Most of the time I'm at peace with God's plan for us. Sometimes I lose sight and I pray for His vision again. His rest. His peace. His guidance. And He gives it!
He always gives it!

Ask and it will be given to you;
seek and you will find;
knock and it will be opened to you.
For everyone who asks receives, and
he who seeks finds, and to
him who knocks it will be opened.

Alas, it is warm!

Summer weather is HERE! Yay! The sun is soothing to our bodies. The sound of the water from the neighbor's sprinklers put us to bed. The birds are chirping. The grass is growing! Kids jump on the trampoline in the early morning and late evening hours. Then we sleep in from staying up so late and another day begins. I love this time of year.

Grace and I were driving to a Mother's dinner the other night with the windows down. The wind was blowing our hair all around and we were singing loud together. I looked at my 8 year old and mentally took a picture that I hope stays with me forever. It was a moment of, "Wow, she is getting big. She is turning into one of my best friends. This moment. Don't forget it."
We had a nice time at the dinner but she was thinking it was going to be more FUN. I told her I agreed. Maybe we could host a Mother's day party and we could play games instead of just talk. ;) Love her!

There are dandelions shooting up all over our yard. We have made some good use out of some of them. Making cookies, painting with them, making flower crowns and chains. Maybe I am not a winter crafter, knitting and crocheting. Maybe it is the luring flowers of Spring that spark creativity in me. It sure feels like it!

It has been an interesting couple of weeks. God is changing things up on us again. Moving us out of our comfort. It's good. It's all good. :) Lots of learning going on for all of us.
Baby included. He is sitting up and rolling over. He rocks on his hands and knees and scoots backwards. He sucks on his hands pretty much all day and talks, talks, and talks. He fits in perfectly with this family!
One of the things I noticed this morning is that when he wakes up, everyone drops what they are doing and goes into our bedroom to say good morning to him and play and coo at him. LOVE THAT!
Maybe that is why he is so happy all the time. SO MUCH ATTENTION!!

Looking forward to another beautiful week. Praying for God's continued guidance on the home we are trying to buy and the business we are in the process of buying and the way "school" looks like in our family.
Like I said, lots of growing and stretching. It's all good!
